New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Now that we’ve all (just about) recovered from Christmas, here’s some information about what’s coming up in the new year.

Our first full practise is going to be on the 20th, but the big news is that we’re going to have a meet up on Wednesday 13th at 42 Mill Dam Lane (shout if you need directions) at seven o’clock. It’s going to be a bit shorter, about an hour or so, just to catch up, share our plans for the year ahead and have a bit of a relaxed sing. And perhaps a drink or two. Or maybe that’s just me!

We have some great ideas for this year, and we’re looking forward to sharing them with you. If you can’t be there, let me know and I’ll update you with what we’re planning!

Thanks for all your hard work last year. I’m really looking forward to the coming months!

New Downloads

Hi all, I’ve now added ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ and ‘Star Carol’ to the folders available for download. They’re in the existing folder so the same link should work. Give me a shout if you get stuck. xxx

Downloads and Practises

Hi all.

I’ve posted the downloads for the new songs on our ‘practises‘ page- it’s the same as last time only I’ve sorted them into alto, soprano and so on to make it easier.
Remember, the more practise you get in at home, the more we can work on intonation and so on for a really polished sound. Also, the better chance you have of learning your words!
Give me a shout if you’re stuck with anything.
I might see you on Wednesday- I’ll be travelling back from London so it will be trains permitting. Watch out for me on  Breakfast TV Wednesday Morning if they’re covering the end of One and Other in London!

We’ve no Shaun or Celia so it could be shorter than usual. Then again, Mark and I have thought of loads of new evil, erm, I mean, exciting tunes that we can learn ready for the autumn gig.

Success at the Stanley!

The charity event last night was a fantastic evening of fancy dress and music mayhem. Photographs and a final total to follow!

Date Set for Charity Event

The date for the upcoming charity event has been set to the 3rd July. ReSound Community Choir will be performing at the Stanley Institute in Burscough to raise money for FSID, along with other special guests. More information on this event coming soon.
